This project focused on making an existing deck safer and more practical for a young family, without changing the relaxed feel of the space. To baby-proof the deck, we added a handrail to the open edge and infilled the lower section of the posts with decking boards, creating a more enclosed and secure area for children.

Additional landscape building was carried out around the property, including new timber steps to improve access and flow through the garden. The result is a safer, more user-friendly outdoor space that still feels open and connected to its surroundings.
